In the UK, talented individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds continue to be underrepresented in doctoral education. The Equity in Doctoral Education through Partnership and Innovation (EDEPI) project aims to change this, by partnering with the NHS to provide support, fee waivers and ring-fenced time to enable talented individuals to explore the PhD opportunities available at Liverpool John Moores University.
