New cohorts for Embedding Public Health into Clinical Services launched

Champs Public Health Collaborative are currently recruiting health care leaders from clinical settings across Cheshire and Merseyside into a support programme where they can develop population health and prevention skills through designing, implementing, testing, and evaluating a small-scale health improvement project within their sphere of practice.

The next Cohort of the programme is now open to book with a deadline of Monday 3rd October 2022 and aims to maximise public health knowledge and skills in the health, care and public health workforces.

This valuable opportunity is open to nurses, midwives, health visitors, specialist nurses, medical professions, allied health professionals, dental professions, pharmacy staff, physician associates across all provider settings and care home managers.

Throughout the programme participants will be supported remotely to utilise the Health Education England (HEE) and Office of Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) toolkit for ‘Embedding Public Health into Clinical Services’ to identify ideas and test public health interventions in their own field of practice.

In the video below, Rachel Middle describes the process with a presentation from Linda Hindle, Deputy Chief AHP Officer for England who led the development of the module. Embedding PH into Clinical Services 1 – YouTube.
