The Simple Things winter health campaign, launched by the Champs Directors in November 2025 for the fourth-year running, has reached nearly one million people with more than 23,500 visits to the web landing page.
The three-month online campaign, via Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, which came to end on 14th February, aimed to reduce the spread of winter bugs by encouraging handwashing and good hygiene when coughing and sneezing.
It targeted parents and carers of children under the age of 11 due to a rise in children and young people catching flu and other bugs. In addition, 12 to 20-year-olds were also targeted via social media with new creative showing germs on items such as mobile phones, gaming consoles and ear pods.
Overall, the campaign reached 938,752 people living and working across Cheshire and Merseyside with 23,523 clicks through to the website for further information. Around 70.2% of those reached with the campaign were young people aged between 12 and 20 years old and the remaining 29.8% were parents and grandparents.
