The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS Cheshire and Merseyside are hosting a Exercise Nexus, an infectious disease outbreak exercise for Cheshire and Merseyside, scheduled to take place on Tuesday 03 December 2024.

The event is designed to strengthen system preparedness and response to significant infectious disease outbreaks.

It will provide an important opportunity for key stakeholders to collaborate, share expertise, and assess our collective approach to outbreak management.

Who should attend?

The exercise is intended for a broad range of stakeholders and decision makers, including local authorities, healthcare providers, public health teams, emergency services, community leaders and other key stakeholders involved in outbreak management and response. Your participation will be key to ensuring a collaborative and coordinated response to future public health emergencies.

  • Test and refine our local infectious disease response plan.
  • Identify gaps and challenges in current protocols.
  • Strengthen communication and coordination between agencies.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities during an outbreak.
