We are pleased to announce details of our annual learning event for 2025 for the health protection community in Cheshire and Merseyside (C&M).

The event will focus on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) highlighting work currently taking place at a national and C&M level, considering how we might collaborate on AMR to improve the health and wellbeing of our most vulnerable populations.

The webinar will be chaired by Professor Helen Bromley, Director of Public Health for Cheshire West and Chester Council and Champs Lead Director for Health Protection. Presentations will be given by the following speakers:

  • Dr Derek Cocker MBChB, PhD, National Institute of Health and Care Research, Academic Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Disease & Global Health, University of Liverpool
  • Will Morton, UK Health Security Agency, Northwest AMR & Health Associated Infections lead
  • Lucie George, Public Health Programme Lead (Health Protection) Cheshire West and Chester Council.
  • Carolyn Barton, Head of Medicines Management, Knowsley Place.

The event is open to all colleagues and partners working in the public health system across C&M.
