Our All Together Smoke Free team are pleased that the new Smoking Ends Here campaign ‘What will you miss’, received a wide spread of media coverage in January 2026, including ITV Granada reports.
Launched in late December, the campaign encourages smokers to consider quitting in 2026, and features Shaun Webb, 62 from Northwich and his daughter Holly, telling the story of his lung cancer diagnosis and subsequent quit.
Professor Ian Ashworth, Director of Population Health, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside appeared with Shaun on ITV Granada’s 6pm news to tell his story of how he quit his 60-a-day smoking habit, to try inspire others to seek help.
Shaun has also appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside, and alongside Ian again on Hits Radio and Global Radio. The story has had widespread print/online coverage across the Cheshire and Merseyside subregion.
