Continuing Professional Development

The Vision

To develop and deliver high quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD)/learning events that provide enhanced learning for public health colleagues as part of their ongoing CPD and supporting public health learning for the wider workforce.

Why is it important

  • To maximise capability in the public health workforce and the wider health and wellbeing workforce across Cheshire and Merseyside
  • To ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills are shared across public health
  • To provide an opportunity for public health professionals to develop and expand their learning

What are we doing?

  • Each year, over 1,000 delegates join learning events ranging from whole system events on topics such as tackling health inequalities and preventing suicide to smaller cohorts on specific public health training courses.
  • You can find the latest CPD calendar for 2024/25 here
