NHS Drink Free Days campaign reaches over 160,000 across Cheshire and Merseyside

In March, the Champs Public Health Collaborative launched a brand new campaign promoting NHS Drink Free Days app, encouraging residents across Cheshire and Merseyside to cut down on alcohol consumption.

The six‑week digital campaign ran across Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), targeting priority wards across the region. Using a mix of carousel images and static ads, the campaign reached over 160,000 people, with just under 9,000 residents clicking through to learn more. Overall 168 people downloaded the app directly from the campaign, and 129 of those are now actively using it.

The campaign has been designed as an always on’ campaign, meaning you can continue to support NHS Drink Free Days at any time.

You can download the full toolkit, which includes:

  • A3 poster
  • Roller banner
  • Business cards
  • ‘How to use’ PowerPoint
  • Digital banner
  • Email signature
  • Digital ads for Google, Instagram and Facebook with accompanying copy

A brand-new animation has also been added to the toolkit, ideal for digital screens in waiting areas such as GP surgeries and other community settings.
