An event from North West Employers, Professors Catherine Mangan and Catherine Needham from the University of Birmingham will present their refreshed work on the 21c Public Servant and the 21c Councillor.
Originally published in 2014, the work has now been updated to take into account the context of the previous decade, including deepening austerity, the Covid-19 pandemic and rising awareness of systemic inequalities.
Key findings from the work will be shared, noting the similarities and differences between the public servant research and the councillor research and also the shared core of relationality that unites both pieces of work.
