The Connect, Learn, Thrive approach has been created in response to a clear ambition from our Directors of Public Health: to ensure that Cheshire and Merseyside is recognised as the very best place to practice public health. At its heart is the understanding that our people are our greatest asset. When colleagues feel supported, valued and connected; when ongoing development is encouraged; and when wellbeing and kindness are prioritised, our workforce is empowered to deliver its most effective and impactful work.
We are holding a very special online event to officially launch Connect, Learn, Thrive. This launch will bring together colleagues from across our nine local authorities, the NHS and the wider system, reflecting the collective strength and collaboration that define public health in our subregion.
During the launch event, we will introduce the three pillars that underpin Connect, Learn, Thrive and how they come together through the Champs Public Health Collaborative highlighting practical opportunities and share insights from colleagues already involved in shaping this evolving model. We will also share the Connect, Learn, Thrive public health pathway, an exciting new resource for our people in Cheshire and Merseyside to help understand where they currently are on their career journey and what they need to do if they’re ready for the next step.
The ultimate aim of this event is to encourage everyone in our public health community to engage with the approach and make it part of their own professional journey.
