Health Education England leaders thank the Collaborative for hosting the North West Public Health Practitioner Programme

Senior leaders from Health Education England (HEE) have personally thanked the Collaborative for hosting the North West Public Health Practitioner Programme (NWPHPS).

The NWPHPS is for the senior public health workforce across the region, to support them to gain UK Public Health Register practitioner registration. It is now hosted by HEE with effect from the 1st October 2022.

In a letter of thanks, HEE representatives said: “The work of the Collaborative’s team has been pivotal in establishing the scheme from the outset, starting from the ground up, providing the infrastructure and rapid adaptation to a fully online delivery model during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The scheme has gone from strength to strength, and we just wanted to pass on our sincere thanks, in particular to Lucia Scally and the rest of the Champs Support Team, without whom the scheme would not be so well established for the public health workforce.

“Many thanks again for the professionalism, leadership and support you have provided in making the scheme the success that it is today.”

Well done to everyone involved in NWPHPS and to all those who have successfully completed the Programme!
