The Health Equalities Group upcoming Food Active conference: A decade of action: The Healthy Weight Declaration after ten years, reflects on the Healthy Weight Declaration’s implementation, evolution, and impact on local policy and population health.
Speakers include our Strategic Intelligence and Partnerships lead and Director of Public Health for Liverpool Professor Matt Ashton and Director of Public Health for Warrington Debbie Watson.
Delegates will be able to explore whole-systems approaches to promoting healthy weight, share best practice, and discuss how the HWD supports partnership working. The conference will also address the growing concerns associated with the commercial determinants of health and how the declaration helps local leaders respond to commercial influences and their impact on public health.
The conference will bring together colleagues, including, national partners, local authority officers, system leaders, NHS partners and ICS colleagues, academics, VCFSE organisations and more.
