Contact Tracing training programme rolls out in Cheshire & Merseyside

A training programme for contact tracers has been established to support the development of knowledge and skills amongst contact tracers and their team leaders across Cheshire and Merseyside. This is a result of close and creative partnership working between the Directors of Public Health, Public Health England and the University of Liverpool Public Health team, for local teams to be able to access the highest quality of contact tracer training and forms a key part of the plans for an integrated testing and contact tracing approach across Cheshire and Merseyside. The first cohort of 17 contact tracers began their course on 25th January with plans for following cohorts of contact tracers and team leaders in the weeks ahead.
