Collaborative’s way of working recognised at LGC

We’re celebrating the good news that the Collaborative and its unique partnership, model led by our 9 DsPH, has been shortlisted in the ‘Public/Public Partnership’ category of this year’s LGC Awards!

This category aims to highlight the local authorities that successfully work with other public sector organisations to create real and meaningful change for local people. The Collaborative’s submission focused on its innovative partnership model and the incredibly positive impacts this has created since it was established a staggering 19 years ago.

Speaking about the nomination, Professor Matt Ashton, Director of Public Health for Liverpool and Lead Director for Communications and Social Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and Strategic Intelligence and Research, said:

“We know that our fantastic public health teams, as well as the Champs Support Team, are doing amazing things every single day, and it is always nice to see this hard work and effort being recognised by the LGC. I know from previous experience how competitive these awards can be, so to be able to say that we’ve been shortlisted is an excellent achievement, but of course we are now looking forward to the ceremony later this year to see if we are able to take home the trophy.”

This year’s LGC Awards will be taking place on 20th July in London. Find out more here.
