Cheshire & Merseyside included as LGA case study for WSPD event 2019, working with the media

A case study has been included on the LGA website, showcasing Champs Public Health Collaborative for their work with Samaritans and the media to encourage safe reporting of suicide. This included an event last year to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. Communications leads and members of the press were invited to hear a presentation on the topic by Samaritans, as well as hearing from local organisations working to prevent suicide and from Clarke Carlise, ex-professional footballer who has attempted suicide in the past, on his recovery journey.
