Cheshire & Merseyside DPH included in LGA interview series on public health during COVID-19

The Local Government Association has conducted a number of interviews with Directors of Public Health from across the country to discuss public health on the frontline during COVID-19 and their local responses to the pandemic.

Both Ian Ashworth from Cheshire West and Chester Council and Matt Ashton from Liverpool Council have been included in these interviews. In his recent interview for the series Ian Ashworth talks about the specific challenges COVID-19 has presented in Cheshire West and Chester, particularly the border with Wales and different lockdonw measures. He also talks about the vital support that the Champs Collaborative has presented during this time with regards to a joint response.

In his interview from earlier in the year, Matt Ashton speaks about starting his new job at Liverpool Council during the pandemic and how Liverpool has responded to the outbreak.
