Champs Public Health Collaborative have been selected to have a Director of Public Health and Director of Children’s Services at the conference’s Innovation Zone to deliver a 30-minute session on our child and family poverty work.
The annual event taking place in Liverpool in July will bring together the public health sector and partners with a shared purpose of strengthening local government and ‘empowering people and places.’
Our sessions will begin with an overview of our work to date, key insights, and the child poverty framework. We’ll then engage councils in a discussion on their priorities and the barriers that could hinder progress. Together, we’ll explore collaborative solutions to overcome these challenges and turn our vision into a reality for families nationwide.
To drive actionable outcomes, the session will incorporate phone voting, allowing delegates to prioritise system actions based on impact and ease of implementation. Through live polling, participants can map barriers, share insights on challenges preventing councils from adopting recommendations, and suggest practical solutions for overcoming them.
