The Champs Support Team and The Institute of Health Equity hosted a strategic planning day for the Cheshire and Merseyside All Together Fairer leads on 17th October 2024.
The day gave the leads valuable, focussed time together as a group to review the system and place recommendations for the programme, as well as learn how to drive change by developing and adopting policy.
The leads also heard from NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s Professor Ian Ashworth, Director of Population Health, and Stephen Woods, Head of Strategy, who discussed the interaction between the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership Strategy and Delivery Plan with local action on social determinants of health.
The promotion of the All Together Inspired learning hub was also supported by the leads on the day, with a focus on how they can all work together to make this a useful resource for leaders championing health equity and addressing the social determinants of health.
The group also learnt how to effectively talk about the “building blocks for health” in a workshop facilitated by Frameworks UK.
