The Kings Fund are hosting an online 2-day-event to learn about the power of community-led and person-centred approaches, focusing on how the health and care system can invest in, and work with, communities to improve people’s health and wellbeing.
Sessions will explore:
- the strengths of community-led and person-centred approaches in improving people’s health and wellbeing
- lessons learnt from the Grenfell tragedy and how services and the wider system must build trust and engage meaningfully with the communities they serve
- why funding and investing in VCSEs and communities need to be improved so that communities are better able to meet the needs of people
- how integrated care systems (ICSs) can ensure working with communities is embedded at system level and delivered at place level through close partnership-working
- how social prescribing can help tackle health inequalities at the local level and how to increase its reach
- how communities and VCSEs can utilise their social and community assets to drive sustainable community-led activity.
There will also be an opportunity to network and make connections with others interested in community-led and person-centred approaches.
