Champs Public Health Collaborative are pleased to be launching a new communications and engagement campaign for Making Every Contact Count (MECC). The campaign is designed to encourage staff in the public sector to deliver brief behaviour change interventions with the people they come into contact with, if they think they could benefit from a healthy lifestyle change.

As part of the project the Champs Collaborative alongside the Cheshire & Merseyside MECC Partnership Board have created a communications strategy, website and toolkit.

The MECC Moments campaign is designed to increase staff investment in MECC, helping them by making the process of conducting a MECC intervention as seamless and easy as possible. The MECC Moments website incorporates a quick to use signposting tool to allow staff to access information about appropriate services they can refer people to. A toolkit is available for those who wish to deliver a staff empowerment campaign including posters, website banners for intranet, email footers and more. On the website you can also access training resources, MECC success stories and the latest MECC news for Cheshire & Merseyside.

You can visit the website here: www.mecc-moments.co.uk or start tweeting your MECC related news, stories and communications with #MECCmoments.
