An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and skilled public health consultant to join the Cheshire East Council Public Health Team. The Cheshire East Public Health team is part of the People Directorate of the organisation.

On behalf of Cheshire East Council, the post-holder will be the lead for health protection and infection control ensuring that the local health protection system and local assurance structures are clinically effective and efficient. The post holder will also take the strategic lead in developing action to identify specific areas of work to tackle the wider determinants of health and health inequalities. This will involve working in conjunction with council colleagues, local stakeholders and the wider community.

This post is one of three consultant posts that provide leadership to the team which will have around 20 staff. The role will lead on specific projects within the current work plan by agreement with the DPH.
