Friends Meeting House, Manchester
8.45am - 1pm

Food Active are pleased to invite you to save the date for our forthcoming event 'Developing effective local healthy weight policy and sharing good practice across the North West'. They are very pleased to announce that Aseem Malhotra will be joining them to provide his insight and a national perspective into the effects of sugar on health.

In order to share good practice, the event aims to bring together exemplars from case studies within the region to discuss innovative and practical approaches covering issues such as hospital catering, school food, procurement, spatial planning, healthy catering and local authority healthy weight strategies.

The event will be of interest to those working in public health in the fields of obesity, weight management, health and well-being, procurement and planning.

The event will also include a preview of the exciting new Food Active sugary drink campaign which is due to launch in the new year. The campaign aims to build public awareness around sugary drinks.

The event will be delivered in two parts: Part 1 - 8.45am - 10.25am. Part 2 - 10.40 - 1pm.

Attendance at the event is free of charge and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
