Ever thought, what is the point they just don't listen or even better, stop me if you have heard this one "I just don't understand it, because I hardly eat a thing!"
Well this is the course where you gain insight into the skills of motivational interviewing for everyday practice. This will be useful during the 2 to 10 minutes you have with someone about changes they want to make. It could be alcohol, weight, physical activity or even just taking the tablets.
This day demonstrates techniques which are not weird or unusual, but help an individual to discuss changes in a more effective manner.
It is informal but focussed on you leaving with simple tools you can practice immediately. Motivational interviewing is simple, but not easy! It takes practice.
